Political relations between Israelis and Palestinians remain at best uneasy and at worst explosive. But even in this climate an increasing number of positive initiatives which offer hope on a personal level are gaining momentum.
Trauma and Hopes of the Young is a fascinating documentary by Walter Wehmeyer which explores two peace building incentives. A peace camp for Jewish, Arab Israeli and Austrian adolescents, and the work of child and adolescent psychiatrists with traumatized children from Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Gaza and a Jewish
settlement in the West Bank.
Join us for a screening of the film, followed by a discussion with young people who have participated in the peace camps and Evelyn Böhmer, one of the organizers of this initiative.
